Najac is in the South West of France, roughly equidistant from the catherdral cities of Cahors, Rodez and Albi. In this area of France, because of the relately light traffic density, distance is usually measured in time, rather than kilometres or miles; Toulouse for instance is a 1 hour 40 minutes drive from Najac.
By air
The nearest airports are Rodez, an hour away, and Toulouse
Blagnac. Ryanair fly into Rodez from London Standsted during the summer
months and Air France have two daily flights from Paris. The majority of
the major airlines fly into Toulouse; especially British Airways and Easyjet from London Gatwick.
By Road
From Calais it is about a 10½ hour drive
to Najac. If you are brave, it can be done in a day, but, from the UK,
because of the
time differences and the ferry or tunnel crossing, the journey usually
involves an overnight
stay.
Try and avoid going through Paris if you can. If you are coming the most direct
route, down the A20 from Limoges, we would suggest that you exit at Junction
59, at Caussade. We can supply you with directions from Caussade to the house.
Bordeaux is about three hours away, Perpignan is three
hours, Barcelona five hours and Nice, in the Côte D'Azur is a six hour drive.
By Rail
There is a regular train service to Najac from Toulouse and
from Paris, but there isn't a taxi servcie from Najac station, but we can
pick you up if we know the time of your arrival.
